It was a gorgeous, spring-like day in Edmonton today, with the temperature hovering around 0C -- a particular treat for those of us accustomed to, oh, six months of winter or so.

I went shopping along Whyte Avenue, which is wonderful on days like today. And I picked up homework for my spring trip....

(Only one question to mar an otherwise perfect day -- how does an opened condom wind up on the floor of a city bus at 4 o'clock in the afternoon?)
